Fire, water and technology
There is an old saying that fire and water are good servants but bad masters, we must now add technology.
Technology could destroy us in an atomic holocaust much more likely is the slow and insidious destruction of our food system from climate change and the destruction of our soils.
The Gbiota technology is simple – we take food and other organic waste like grass clipping and prunings, add an inoculant of living soil creatures from microbes to worms and minerals to create new soil, living soil full of beneficial microbes and nutrients.
We grow plants in this soil, cheaper than buying from the supermarket but this is not just for the poor.
Rich people are getting fat and sick because we are not feeding our gut brain which controls our appetite and where and how much fat we store.
The wrong sort of fat in the wrong place is the root cause of the modern epidemic of chronic or non infectious diseases like diabetes, heart attack and dementia.
Our whole society is at risk from technology which is our master and not our servant.
I am Colin Austin, engineer and innovator. I was recognised by the Institute of engineers as one of Australia’s leading innovators. I believe that technology should work for the benefit of the people – the community and not just a few ultra rich people.
But I am an old man, nearly eighty four but still fit and healthy but I know that it is not long before I enter the great compost bin in the sky. I cannot do this by myself.
So I ask you to help me in getting this technology widely adopted.
