The side hustle

I have been sending our emails trying to find out what are the issues that people experience in trying to improve gut health.

It seems there are many people who understand the importance of gut health and how the trillions of cells made up from thousands of species talk to each other to form our intelligent control system which among other things controls our appetite so we naturally want to eat the right amount of the right sort of food and hosts and trains much our our immune system.

So there are many motivated people that understand the importance of gut health and see the solution is the apparently simple way of eating plant grown in soil teaming with beneficial microbes and nutrients. They know that the microbes both breed and die rapidly so it is best to eat the plant fresh and the best way of doing that is to grow them at home.

So what is the hang up? The answer came back loud and clear, the articles I have been writing about enhancing our gut biome are too complex and people don’t have the time to read and study this wave of information.

So to help me think my way through this I invented two characters Mary and George. May be fictitious but I know many real people which fit this description.

Mary is a single mum with two kids, living in an apartment and working three jobs to pay of the exorbitant rent. Of all people, living a life of total stress, she is in need of a healthy gut the most. But there is just no way she can go through the whole process of breeding the beneficial microbes in the soil in her flat.

Then there is George down the road. He is an older man, made redundant and spends his life pottering around in his garden. He would love to feel he is still a useful member of society doing something practical to help his local community and maybe having a bit of a side hustle to bring in some extra money.

By working together they can make both of their lives better. That is the main reason I formed the Gbiota Club and set up the map facility so they locate each other.

My next job is to write to very different articles.

I need to write an article for Mary to explain how she can buy a Gbiota wicking box from George loaded with the soil we call Wickimix which is full of the beneficial microbes and nutrients needed for health and explain to her the way she needs to water the plants to maintain the beneficial microbes. A single page should do that nicely, particularly as she has George to show her what to do.

But for George I need to write a very different type of article, one that explains how to create the conditions so the beneficial microbes can not only breed in the soil but out breed and out compete the harmful microbes which are a simple fact of life.
