Spreading the benefits of Gbiota beds
Home gardeners
My concept is that there already many local growers who could supply their neighbourhood with gut food, there are also many people who have been displaced by modern innovation who could also set up local business supplying gut food.
Some people have large gardens which can produce this gut food at home, other people have large gardens and find it too much work and would be quite willing to let other local people use it to grow gut food in exchange for some of the fresh produce.
Local Micro farms
I find this concept of local micro-farms supplying Gbiota food to their local community – which really understands the three types of food – and how important gut biology is – really exciting – and a token of hope for the future.
This is a model for the future replacing the current model of excessive profits based on a system of neo-monopoly.
For me this not a business – in the conventional sense just to generate profit. I believe that business need to do more than make profit – they have a responsibility to their community.
This is my legacy project.
At the ripe old age of 81 I can do the maths and know I will not be around to drive this that much longer, but I want this to survive after my death as a viable economic system.
I expect that each grower will make a contribution to further research, promotion and organisation based on the land area under commercial production. I had in mind some 10 cents per square metre.
Home growers would continue to have access to this technology free of charge for their own use in return for their role in helping to educate their local community about the importance of gut biology to health.
How do we make this happen?
I don’t see this happening through just the normal internet marketing. This is too crowded and full of deceptive advertising that this route has been spoilt.
Rather I see a small group, say a dozen people, appreciating that this is the route to a better and more sustainable community and being willing to adopt the role of what I understand – in the language of the internet – as influencers.
We need to run a significant umbrella marketing operation to help educate the public of the benefits of a healthy gut and to encourage commercial growers by creating a market.
There are many existing schemes, CSA Community Supported Agriculture, Buying and Selling coops which can be used to make this work. This is a decision for local groups to decide how they want to work – there is no need for a central beaurcracy.
The only need for a centralised operation is to promote the benefits of gut brain food, to develop the technology and to provide confidence to the final buyers in the community that Gbiota™ is grown according to defined standards.
I am just too busy
There are many people who would like to enjoy the benefits of eating Gbiota food but either don’t have the time, land, skills or interest in growing their own Gbiota food.
At this moment you just cannot go out and buy Gbiota food but there is a catch 22 situation. There are many growers who are passionate about regenerative farming but they still have to pay the bills and for that they need steady and reliable customers. That is where community supported agriculture CSA and the Gbiota club comes into play.

Community Supported Agriculture
People who want to buy Gbiota food can form a group, when there are sufficient number in the group it is easy to find local regenerative farmers who would be happy to make their own Gbiota beds as long as they know there is a stable market.
This just need one or a few people to start a group and then recruit enough members to create the stable market.
I can supply the technical support in setting up the Gbiota beds while the group leaders can organise the group with the appropriate structure to pay the growers as part of a buying cooperative.
This is not just economic for both the growers and the buyers but also supports the regenerative agriculture movement, store carbon in the soil which is part of the process of ensuring that our grand kids and their grand kids have a future on this planet. This desire to protect the future of our species from myopic thinking for profit can be a powerful motivator.
Join the club by registering
The first step is to join the Gbiota club by registering, information will be treated in confidence but you will be shortly be able to join chat groups on the gbiota.club website.
Our immediate interest is in finding people who may be willing to act as group leaders.
If you are interested in helping to set up this system please contact me at colinaustin@bigpond.com
